Mahadevapura is a town and a city municipal council in Bangalore district in the Indian state of Karnataka.

As of 2001[update] India census[1], Mahadevapura had a population of 135,597. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Mahadevapura has an average literacy rate of 73%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 66%. In Mahadevapura, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
