Malik Murtaza

Ghulam Murtaza Malik was an Islamic scholar who appeared on Pakistani television.[citation needed] His talks on various Islamic topics turned him into a respected personality among Sunnis.[citation needed] He was assassinated in Lahore in 2002, allegedly by an outlawed extremist organization.

Murtaza taught Quran and Islamic studies at various institutions in Pakistan and other countries.[citation needed] He also delivered lectures on various television channels and via other media forums.[citation needed]
