Ghulam Murtaza Malik was an Islamic scholar who appeared on Pakistani television. His talks on various Islamic topics turned him into a respected personality among Sunnis. He was assassinated in Lahore in 2002, allegedly by an outlawed extremist organization.
Murtaza taught Quran and Islamic studies at various institutions in Pakistan and other countries. He also delivered lectures on various television channels and via other media forums.
