Maltha (formerly, Malta) is one of several unincorporated communities in Kern County, California.^[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 3.25 miles (5.2 km) north of downtown Bakersfield,^[2] at an elevation of 453 feet (138 m).^[1]
