Mandian is the northern part of Abbottabad city, located in Abbottabad District in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. The population of this area is 100,000.

Origin of name[edit]

The word Mandian means fruit or vegetable markets: It is a centre of commerce with markets and businesses. Today Mandian is a busy hub of the city.

Mandian is also known as Ghori Chowk, as a monument of Ghori Missile is installed there.

Infrastructure[edit]

Many renowned schools and colleges are in Mandian like Brook Montessori and School System, Govt. Postgraduate College Mandian Abbottabad, Army Burn Hall College, Wisdom House Public School, University of Engineering & Technology, Abbottabad Campus. Ayub Medical College is only 1 km from Mandian and Abbottabad Public School, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Abbottabad campus, Abbottabad International Medical College and Frontier Medical College is 5 km from Mandian.

The second biggest town Qalandarabad is 12 km from Mandian on K.K.H.

Mandian has a small industrial estate, which promotes medium- and small-scale industries and provides employment to hundreds of people.
