Mapleton Drive is a famous street in West Los Angeles. It is famous for its huge houses, famous residents, exclusivity and is recognised as one of the most expensive addresses in the world. California's biggest house (Aaron Spelling's "The Manor") is 56,500 square feet (5,250 m2) big with 6 acres (24,000 m2) of land and is located on Mapleton Drive. The Manor was originally owned by Bing Crosby and when Spelling purchased the property in 1984 he knocked the old house down and built The Manor in its place. Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall also lived on Mapleton at 232, Lana Turner at 120, Judy Garland at 144 and Alan Ladd and Sue Carol at 323.
