Mar George Alapatt (February 11, 1900 - November 6, 1973) was the fourth Bishop of Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur, from May 1, 1944 until June 4, 1970, when he retired.[1] Alapatt was born at Karanchira in Thrissur district on February 11, 1900.[1] He attended all the four sessions of the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965).[1] He died in his sleep on November 6, 1973.[1]
