Marco's Pizza, operated by Marco's Franchising, LLC, is a restaurant chain and interstate franchise based in Toledo, Ohio that specializes in Italian-American cuisine. The first store is in Oregon, Ohio at Starr Avenue and Wheeling Street. It was founded by Italian immigrant Pasquale "Pat" Giammarco in 1978. More than 450 franchised Marco's Pizza locations are in operation in 33 U.S. states and the Bahamas. Marco's has agreements to open stores in Puerto Rico and India in 2014.
Marco's Pizza is currently listed among Marketing Quarterly's Top 25 Pizza Chains, and was named by [ Franchising World] as number  eight on the magazine's list of Fast and Serious growth franchises. The Italian artisan pizza company made great strides in 2013, up nine spots in the Top 100,to #12 overall, according to Pizza Today Magazine, increasing total units to 437 (274 in 2012) and $246 million in gross annual sales, a significant jump from its 2012 sales of $143,923,217. The business operates locations in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin, as well as the Bahamas. In 2013 the company added more than 100 new stores with plans to double that in 2014. Marco's Pizza will open its 500 store in the spring of 2014, including the first store in Puerto Rico, and will add its first store in India by the end of 2014, with over 1500 locations signed. Store locations are available with online ordering and payment. Family Video has partnered with Marco's Pizza and started opening new pizzerias with it's stores in 2012.
