Mária Antónia, Prinzessin Koháry de Csábrág et Szitnya (2 July 1797 – 25 September 1862) was a Hungarian noblewoman and the ancestress of many European monarchs.

[edit] Family and marriage

She was born in Vienna, the only daughter of Prince Franz Josef of Kohary, of whose fortune she was the only heiress, and his wife Countess Maria Antoinetta Josefa von Waldstein-Wartenburg.

On 30 November 1815, in Vienna, she married Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. They became the parents of four children:

The couple were the ancestors of Pedro V of Portugal, Luis I of Portugal, Carlos I of Portugal, Manoel II of Portugal, Frederick Augustus III of Saxony, Charles I of Austria, Otto von Habsburg, Carol II of Romania, Mihai I of Romania, Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, Boris III of Bulgaria, Simeon II of Bulgaria, and Henri d'Orléans, Count of Paris.

She died in Vienna in 1862.
