Marigaon district

Marigaon is an administrative district in the state of Assam in India. The district headquarters are located at Marigaon. The district occupies an area of 1704 km² and has a population of 776,256 (as of 2001). Hindus 405,302, Muslims 369,398 (47.58%).
The ancient place of occult Mayang is located in this district.
