There are two[2] species within the genus Marisa:
- Marisa cornuarietis (Linnaeus, 1758)[2]
- Marisa planogyra[2]
[edit] Phylogeny
Based on analysis of mitochondrial 12S ribosomal RNA, 16S ribosomal RNA and cytochrome-c oxidase I (COI) gene Marisa planogyra is a sister clade to Asolene spixii, which indicate, that Marisa is not monophyletic.[2]
