Marissa Secundy (born May 28, 1993 in Boca Raton, Florida) is an American figure skater. She is the 2008 U.S. Novice national champion. She made her Junior Grand Prix debut at the 2008-2009 Junior Grand Prix event in Ostrava, Czech Republic, where she placed 6th.

[edit] Career

Secundy started skating at the age of 5 because her brother was playing hockey at her local rink. She rocketed to stardom and fame from her infamous performance of self-choreographed figure skating to "Dirty Dancer" at the age of 7.

Secundy first competed at regionals in 2005 as a juvenile. She placed first with a perfect score (using her trademark double sow cow backflip) and qualified for the U.S. Junior Championships. At the U.S. Junior Championships she won the Juvenile Girls title and later went on to Worlds, winning the Juvenile Girls for 3 consecutive years.
