Mark Cantrell[1] is a North Carolina freelance writer/illustrator who has written for several publications - national and local magazines and newspapers - including Outré[2], Veterinary Practice News[3], and Military Officer[4]. He also wrote the independent comic book Space Ark[5], illustrated by Ken Mitchroney.
Cantrell has had several illustrations and cartoons published as well, and he spent three years working as an editorial cartoonist for Glades Newspapers. He has illustrations appearing in three books for Cool Hand Communications: 1001 Ways To Make Your Life Better[6], The Magic of Garlic[7], and Natural Stress-Busters For The Whole Family[8].
Cantrell is an avid photographer and gardener, and is also a founding member of the Raleigh, North Carolina freelance writers' group, Triangle Area Freelancers.
Cantrell lives with his wife (Maryanne) and some feline companions in Wake Forest, North Carolina.
