MartNet is a privately owned Internet Service Provider (ISP) located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its primary business office is in South Philadelphia, and they also maintain a research and development lab in University City, and another office in Northeast Philadelphia. Its servers are housed in an Internet Peering (NAP) and Co-Location facility at the famous North American Building in Philadelphia.
The company offers a wide range of business and personal Internet services. It has sustained working relationships with many freelance programmers, graphic designers, web developers, and illustrators.
MartNet Communications was founded in 1996 by Nicholas P. Schummer and K. Nikolas Weidenbacher. Since then, Martnet has steadily grown and survived the dot-com bubble.
MartNet is an avid proponent of the Linux operating system.
