Matthew Michael Ansara (August 29, 1965 – June 25, 2001) was an actor and bodybuilder, who was the only son of Barbara Eden and her then-husband Michael Ansara. His first acting job was when he was 15 years old, in the pilot episode of Harper Valley PTA. His credits include Your Mother Wears Combat Boots, To Protect and Serve, and Con Games.
On June 25, 2001, Ansara was found dead in his pickup truck. It had later become apparent that Ansara had died of an accidental heroin overdose at age 35.[1]
He was divorced in 1995 from a two year marriage with Julie Ansara. Before he died, he was planning his second wedding with girlfriend Leanna Green on September 1, 2001.
