Matthew Avara

Matthew Avara was the mayor of Pascagoula, Mississippi (U.S.), most notably when the city was badly damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.[1] He declined to run for office in March 2009, with Robert Maxwell being elected unopposed, taking over the position in July 2009.[2]
