Media Whore is a short subject made in 2002. It was directed by Karl T. Hirsch of Aglet Productions, in something of a parody of MTV, and written by Ali MacLean, who also plays the subject of the film, Astrid.

Chris Hardwick introduces a series of "clips" with Astrid, a veejay for a mediocre music television station. It is soon obvious that Astrid is incredibly stupid, having no clue about the people she interviews or what she even does.
Throughout the film, she interviews Taye Diggs (whom she mistakes for being in Boyz n the Hood) and Coolio, who is too busy eating to give her decent answers.

The film was released on digital video disc on January 17, 2006 with a mix of other shorts on the DVD Celebrity Mix by TLA Video. [1]
