Contribution[edit]

In recent years, medical deemed universities made many contributions in medical education, especially in accident and emergency medicine[12] Sri ramachandra university[13] was first university to introduce M.D (Accident & Emergency Medicine)[14] since the program is not under MCI purview[15] because accident and emergency medicine is not a specialty as per the IMC act but a M.D degree awarded by Sri Ramachandra University is recognised by MHRD[16] and AIU[17] since Sri Ramachandra University is a member of the association of Indian universities AIU[18] it will be recognised for higher studies and jobs. similarly Vinayaka Mission University[19] Salem introduced this program and made an off-shore campus in Thailand[20] to offer an international program in medicine(MBBS[21]) under UGC recognition as per MCI norms and similarly MAHE has made an offshore campus in Malaysia to offer an international program in medicine.
