Mehmood Kot (Urdu: محمُود كوٹ), (Punjabi: محمود کوٹ) or Mehmood Kot is a city in District Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan. The coordinates of Mahmud Kot are 30°15'3"N 71°29'12

Mehmood kot was established by Mehmood Gujjar,[1] who was the administrator of the dera ghazi kahn and built a fort at his name. Mehmoodd Kot is famous due to the shrine of Khaja Mian Muhammad Hussain Panwar Chishti, was the Khalifa of Qibla Alam Hazrat Khaja Noor Muhammad Maharvi. Great Scholar Hazrat Mian Khaliq Dad Altaf and Great educationist Syed Akbar Hussain Shah belong to this city.

The Lal Pir Power is a location in Mehmood Kot and Lal Pir Power Plant produces 362 MW of electricity.[2] The city is served by Mahmud Kot railway station.
