The Yellow-tufted Woodpecker, Melanerpes cruentatus, is a species of woodpecker. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.[1] Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.[1]
