Melissa Anne Smith (born January 21, 1992) is a Canadian actress.

Early life[edit]

Smith was born in Kingston, Ontario. At the age of four, Smith and her family moved to Sudbury, Ontario where she currently resides. She has one younger sister, Rebecca Lauren Smith and lives with both of her parents, Mark and Cindy Smith. She speaks both English and French fluently.

Career[edit]

Smith's first appearance in professional theatre was at the Sudbury Theatre Centre in their production of "Pinocchio" at the age of nine. She continued to pursue acting, performing in various local theatre productions and festivals. Smith was presented with the same award that one of her role models, Rachel McAdams,[1] was also presented with, at the Sears Ontario Drama Festival. At the age of sixteen, Smith gained representation with one of the most prestigious talent agencies in Canada and has continued to work on films such as The Summit and Kick-Ass. Already, she has worked with actors Nicolas Cage, Christopher Plummer, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Wendy Crewson, Mía Maestro, Lyndsy Fonseca and Evan Peters. She continues to work as a voice, film and television actor.
