Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance Co, Ltd. (Hangul: 메리츠화재), formerly Oriental Fire & Marine Insurance (Hangul: 동양화재), is a South Korean insurance company, headquartered in Seoul and established in 1922.

- May 23, 1950 Renamed as Oriental Fire & Marine Insurance Company
- March 14, 2005 Disaffiliated from Hanjin Group
- October 1, 2005 Renamed as Meritz Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd.
- October 7, 2005 Company headquarter relocated to Meritz Tower in Gangnam, Southeastern Seoul
- November 24, 2005 Acquired Meritz Securities Company as subsidiary
