Career[edit]

Brazil[edit]

He started his career in 1999 at Paraná Clube in Brazil. He spent the 2003 season with Kashiwa Reysol of the Japanese J. League and returned to Brazil with Cruzeiro.

Fenerbahçe[edit]

Nobre was transferred in 2004 to Fenerbahçe of the Turkish Süper Lig, joining his former Cruzeiro team-mate Alex. Despite signing during the winter break, he would finish the season efficiently, scoring 12 goals in 18 matches. During 2005-2006 season he agreed to join arch-rivals Besiktas J.K. for the following season.

Beşiktaş J.K.[edit]

At the end of 2005-06 season he moved to arch-rivals Beşiktaş from Cruzeiro in a €2 million deal. At the start of the 2006-07 season, he changed his name to Mert Nobre, after he gained Turkish citizenship. He currently has the chance of playing for the Turkey national football team if he is chosen by the manager, following in suit of his friend and former team-mate, Mehmet Aurélio.

He left for Mersin İdmanyurdu and is currently playing for Kayserispor.
