Mesquite Junior High School is a public junior high school located in Gilbert, Arizona, and is part of the Gilbert Public School District. It opened in 1986 on the former campus of Gilbert High School.
In 2007 Debbie Arenz, a physical education instructor at Mesquite won a prestigious national award from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.[1]
Mesquite is the only junior high school in the district to offer full theater-related instruction, including drama, stagecraft, and other parts of theater production.[2]
