Mexico Beach is a city in Bay County, Florida, United States. The population was 1,072 at the 2010 census. .[4] It is part of the Panama CityLynn HavenPanama City Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2). 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2) of it is land and 0.76% is water.

As of the census[2] of 2010, there were 1,072 people, 526 households, and 319 families residing in the city. The population density was 604.6 inhabitants per square mile (299.7/km²). There were 1,852 housing units at an average density of 1,010.4 per square mile (389.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 93.1% White, 1.9 African American, 0.4 Native American, 0.7 Asian, 0.0% Native hawaiian and 3.1 from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.6% of the population.

There were 526 households out of which 11.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.4% were married couples living together, 5.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.2% were non-families. 33.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.93 and the average family size was 2.42.

In the city the population was spread out with 11.1% under the age of 18, 3.9% from 18 to 24, 19.8% from 25 to 44, 34.8% from 45 to 64, and 30.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 54 years. For every 100 females there were 97.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.7 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $31,950, and the median income for a family was $40,163. Males had a median income of $30,278 versus $23,125 for females. The per capita income for the city was $22,871. About 8.1% of families and 11.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 18.8% of those under age 18 and 10.7% of those age 65 or over.
