Michael John "Mike" Aspin (born 20 October 1989) is an English footballer.
[edit] Career
Born in Blackburn, Lancashire, he joined Blackburn Rovers youth team at the age of eight, and later moved to Preston North End when he was 16. After failing to earn a professional contract from Preston North End, he moved to Northwich Victoria in 2008. He left in March 2009, signing for Farsley Celtic in the Conference North and then for Nakhon Pathom, in Thailand, in June 2009. After nearly two months in Thailand he decided that football in Thailand was not for him and opted for a return to England and has since re-signed for Northwich Victoria.[2]
In July 2010 he joined the newly formed Chester, before agreeing to join Farnborough on loan for a month in September of that year. Here he joined up with Steve King, his former manager at Northwich Victoria. However this arrangement lasted one match only, before he returned to Chester and played a major part in the second half of the season helping Chester win the league. On 28 August 2011 Aspin rejected a new contract at Chester and was later released.[3]
On 2 September 2011, he signed for Conference North side Hyde.[4] He left the club in December having made 10 appearances for the club.[5]
