Michael Snow (born 1974 in Pfullendorf, Germany)[1] is a Seattle-based lawyer and was chair of the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees from 2008 to 2010.[2] He now serves on the Advisory Board of the Foundation.

Snow received his law degree from the University of Washington Law School.

Wikipedia [edit]

Snow has volunteered for Wikipedia since December 2003.[3] He is also a Wikipedia administrator and the founder of the English Wikipedia community newsletter, The Wikipedia Signpost.[4]

In 2006 Snow served as a spokesman for the Wikimedia Foundation,[5] was appointed to the board in February 2008 and elected chairman on July 17, 2008.[6]

At the Wikimania 2010 conference in Gdansk, Poland in July, Ting Chen replaced Snow as chair.
