Michigan Lavender Festival is an annual event held in Romeo, Michigan. As of 2007, the festival held its fifth annual celebration. Planned to coincide with the prime time for the lavender crop's flowering and frangrance, the Michigan Lavender Festival was observed in 2007 on the third weekend in July, July 20 - July 21. The event is hosted by the Michigan-based herbal bodycare company: Gabriel's Garden. Festival programming has included an educational series on lavender history, folklore, agriculture and uses, garden tours, art instruction, lavender craft workshops, and live harp & dulcimer music in the garden. The festival includes an open-aire marketplace featuring more than 40 local area farms and artisans of genuine Made-in-Michigan products.
