Microwire, often spelled μWire, is a restricted subset of SPI, or Serial Peripheral Interface Bus and a trademark of National Semiconductor. MicrowirePLUS is the equivalent of the Queued Serial Peripheral Interface.
Microwire, is also the name of an Australian based communications company that uses its VoIP network to deliver a Business grade VOIP solution. Microwire utilizes a purpose built VOIP network spanning all major capital cities across Australia.
Current expansion into Singapore has commenced and is due for completion in early 2014, Expansion into New Zealand will commence mid 2014.
Microwire was founded in Melbourne, Australia in June 2010.
