The Mid-Atlantic Pagan Alliance (MPA), founded in June 1999 by Robin Albright and Marc Wicoff, was primarily a social organization, dedicated to bringing people of alternative religious paths together in social settings; with an emphasis on the Pagan/Witch/Wiccan/Druid Mid-Atlantic States subcultures. By doing so the MPA helped to cultivate the Pagan community, especially in the New Jersey area.
An unfortunate chain of events[clarification needed] forced the group to disband in early 2008. The primary founders, and Core members of the organization have continued to help foster community in the area.
