[edit] Club career
Pleşan started his career at Universitatea Craiova, with Craiova was relegated at the end of the season, the team's star moved to Dinamo Bucureşti. His stay there was, however, a short one, not only due to his mediocre performances, but also because Gheorghe Hagi wanted him at Poli. Consequently, after just a few months at Dinamo, Plesan moved to Timişoara, declaring he had never really adapted to the lifestyle in Bucharest, nor to his role on the pitch at the league runners up. The transfer fee was about $800,000. He is usually used as a central midfielder although he primarily is an attack minded defensive midfielder.
[edit] Steaua Bucureşti
Pleşan signed a 5 years contract with Steaua Bucureşti on the 6 August 2007, Steaua Bucureşti paying for him around €1,3m.
[edit] Steaua II Bucureşti
In 2009-10, Pleşan was demoted to the B squad. In October 2009 got back to first team.
[edit] Nizhny Novgorod
On 30 July 2010 Pleşan signed a contract with FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod. The Russian team paid 100,000 EUR to Steaua Bucureşti in order to sign Pleşan.[1]
[edit] International career
He really came into the spotlight after an amazing goal against the German national football team in a 2004 friendly.
