Mathien is a Midwestern Funk-Rock band named after lead singer and guitarist Chris Mathien.[1] Along with Bassist Mike Schiff and drummer Aaron Bouslog, the group was formed in Carbondale, Illinois at Southern Illinois University.[2] They would later be joined by keyboardist Peter Wilkins after relocating to Chicago, Illinois.[3]
