Mini hockey (aka. mini sticks, sock hockey, knee hockey, hall hockey, shinny hockey, hand hockey, cyber hockey) is a children's game that is similar in nature to ice or roller hockey. It is generally played in dwellings by young children and teenagers. In mini hockey, two or more players attempt to put a puck into their opponent's goal using either their hands or mini hockey sticks. Games are generally played with two players going head-to-head, each one playing both goaltender and offense.
Due to the game being a mere children's game, no official rules exist.
[edit] Equipment Summary
The mini hockey "rink" is generally a living room, basement, or hallway floor within a dwelling. Two goals are set up at opposite ends of the "rink". There are no set dimensions for a rink other; however, it must be large enough to allow for adequate movement of both players and the puck.
The mini hockey stick is a mere scaled-down hockey stick; it is commonly made out of plastic or wood.
The puck can be any light, round object, such as a foam puck, foam ball, or rolled-up ball of paper.
The goals are usually composed of two objects designating the posts; however, scaled-down hockey nets made of plastic can be used too.
