Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (Министерство иностранных дел Российской Федерации, МИД РФ) is the central government institution charged with leading the foreign affairs of Russia. Its predecessor organisation is the Ministry of External Relations of the USSR. The current Foreign Minister is Sergey Lavrov.
