Miroslav Šmajda (born 27 November 1988 in Košice, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak male singer, most notable for his participation on the Česko Slovenská Superstar (based on UK Pop Idol), being ranked in second place.

Eurovision[edit]

On 16 November 2011, it was announced by Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska (RTVS), that Šmajda was chosen to represent Slovakia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with his song "Don't Close Your Eyes".[1]
