Becoming A Singer
This multi-talented teen credits his parents for allowing him to follow his dreams and supporting his career. With the titles singer, actor, dancer, songwriter Mishon is just getting started. Now at age 13, his voice isn’t the only thing that has changed for Mishon. Now back in the studio with producers, Flip Matrix, Dwight Watson and Beat Protectors, Mishon has begun to take a more active role in his career. In 2005, Mishon began writing his own music.
Lending his teen experiences to infectious beats has proven to be a great combination. On his first album Mishon sang of playing video games, and how proud he was of his family. Now, he sings of young love, getting older and teenage experiences. Even though Mishon loves hip-hop and crunk & B he has not let that compromise his love for strong R&B ballads. He has music for the crunk & B lovers but he has not abandoned the real love for soul music.
“We allow Mishon to have control with his music because we want him to feel comfortable,” says Dynasty Executive Doe. In his first single and title track “When I get older” Mishon longs for the day of when he gets older. All young men dream of their first car, dating and having fun and this single shows that you can have anything you want, when you get older. The track "Excuse Me Momma" depicts the feeling that we have all had at one time or another.
