The wings of a Civil Air Patrol mission observer
In the Civil Air Patrol the mission observer is the aircrew member responsible for coordinating the aspects of a mission.
The duties of the observer consist of, but are not limited to:
- Aircraft navigation
- Communications operations
- Coordination of personnel
