Mitsubishi UFJ Capital or MUCAP is one of Japan's largest venture capital firms. Its parent company is the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group or MUFG, the Japan's largest bank in terms of assets.
MUCAP was formed on October 6, 2005 by the merger of Diamond Capital, a unit of the Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group, and UFJ Capital, an arm of UFJ Holdings. The firm focuses on the Japanese market as well as on global and cross-border opportunities in the information technology and life science industries. It has offices in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
