Miyawaka (宮若市 Miyawaka-shi) is a city located in Fukuoka, Japan. The city was founded on February 11, 2006, from the merger of the towns of Miyata and Wakamiya, both from Kurate District.
As of February, 2007, the city has a population of 31,296 and the density of 223.56 persons per km². The total area is 139.99 km².
Toyota Motor Kyushu is based in Miyawaka.[1]
