Molecular BioSystems is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published monthly by the Royal Society of Chemistry. It publishes original research and review articles that have a particular focus on the interface between chemistry, the -omic sciences, and systems biology. The editor-in-chief is Harp Minhas.

The journal is abstracted and indexed in MEDLINE and the Science Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2011 impact factor of 3.534.[1]

Scope[edit]

The journal covers the following fields: chemical and systems biology, proteomics and genomics, cell biology, and metabolism.

Article types[edit]

Molecular BioSystems publishes a number of different article types: "Communications" (material for rapid publication), "Papers" (original primary research), "Methods" (papers on useful new methods), "Reviews" (reviews of a topical area of research), and "Opinions" (personal viewpoints on a topic of current interest).
