Albeco, Inc., trading as Mollie Stone's Markets, operates a small chain of American supermarkets, located in Bay Area, California. Established in 1985 by Mike Stone and David Bennett, there are nine stores in total: Burlingame, Greenbrae, Palo Alto, San Bruno, San Mateo, Sausalito and the Castro, Pacific Heights, and Twin Peaks neighborhoods of San Francisco. Mark Lucchesi, Store Manager of the Burlingame location goes head to head against a major Bay Area powerhouse Safeway Inc. The Safeway site is located only 1 block away. Mr. Lucchesi often describes the battle as David vs. Goliath. Mollie Stone's was named after Stone's mother, Molly.
