"More than Friends" is a song by Romanian recording artist Inna, featuring vocals by Puerto Rican reggaeton and hip hop artist Daddy Yankee. It is the fourth single released from her third studio album, Party Never Ends. Written and produced by Danish composer Thomas Troelsen, it was released internationally on January 18, 2013, with its accompanying music video premiering on YouTube on the same day, without Daddy Yankee's vocals.[1] However, the version of the music video with his accompanying verse was released to YouTube on February 4, 2013.[2]

Music video[edit]

A teaser of the video for "More than Friends" was uploaded to Inna's YouTube channel on January 16, 2013. The music video was released on January 18, without Daddy Yankee's lyrics, although an audio-only version with the lyrics was also released on the same day. The official version with Daddy Yankee was later released on February 4, 2013.

The video takes place at a beach resort, and it begins with several shirtless surfers casually ambling down its shoreline. Seagulls fly across the crests of the waves. Inna soon appears on top of a lifeguard post, dressed in a form-fitting swimsuit, and the music kicks in, as she begins to sing. She is soon joined by other dancers and surfers, and the video evolves into a massive beach party, complete with water guns and hoses spraying all over the place. Later, Daddy Yankee and his characteristic aviator sunglasses make their appearance, backed by the setting sun, and the scene transitions into a nighttime pool party. The music video ends with Inna and her surfer friends leaping into the pool.
