R2 is an expressway in Slovakia. Its route starts from SK/CZ border to Trenčín (D1) - Bánovce nad Bebravou - Prievidza - Žiar nad Hronom (R1/R3) - (shared section with R1/R3 until Zvolen) - Lučenec (R7) - Rimavská Sobota - Rožňava and it ends in Košice (R4).
As of 2006, from 358 km (excluding the shared section) there were:
- 50,5 km in operation (21,5 km as a two-lane road)
- 3 km under construction (two-lane road near Figa)
- 305 km planned
Note: Opened sections are currently signed as a national road 50.
