The Mountain Athletic Conference (MAC) is a split 4A/3A North Carolina High School Athletic Association conference which operates in the western region of North Carolina,[1] mostly in Buncombe County with the exception of McDowell High School (Marion, North Carolina) in McDowell County.[2]
