The Silverwater Women's Correctional Centre (formerly known as the Mulawa Correctional Centre) is an Australian female prison facility located in Holker Street Silverwater, a suburb 21 kilometres (13 mi) from the Sydney city center. It is located within the Silverwater Correctional Centre which houses male prisoners and other facilities. As of 2008, the facility is being expanded.[citation needed]

Fraud is the most common reason for imprisonment.
