Mullakkara Ratnakaran (born 1955) is an Indian politician and a State Secretariat Member of Communist Party of India (CPI). He was the Minister for Minister for Agriculture in the Government of Kerala.[citation needed] He represents the Chadayamangalam constituency in Kollam district in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.[1]

Born in 1955 to Purushothaman and Sulochana at Mullakkara, Chadayamangalam in Kollam district, Ratnakaran became a member in Communist Party of India in 1978. He has served as All India Youth Federation (AIYF) State President and Secretary. During his political career, Ratnakaran went to jail several times in connection with agitations, including "Job or Jail" strike.[2]
