The NCAA Cheerdance Competition now changed to NCAA Cheerleading Competition is an annual one-day event of the National Collegiate Athletic Association for cheerleading. It was sponsored by Nestlé in 2004 and 2005 and was known as the NCAA Nestlé Non-Stop Cheerdance Competition. In 2007, the competition was sponsored by Samsung and was called as Samsung NCAA Cheerdance Competition. The event was also sanctioned by Cheerleading Philippines Federation (CP) and thus adopted the official scoring criteria used in international cheerleading. The 2008 NCAA Championships will also serve as a qualifier for the selection of a Philippine team to the IFC World Cup and other international cheerleading championships next year.
All member schools field in their respective pep/cheering squads in a predetermined sequence. The sequence is determined by drawing of lots a week before the competition. Judges who are known for their prowess in cheerleading, dancing and gymnastics, plus a representative from Nestlé determines the winning pep squad (when they sponsored the event). This year, all judges who are certified by the Philippine federation and the International Federation of Cheerleading made up the judging panel. It is the only coeducational sport in the NCAA. However, it is not counted in the tabulation to determine the General Champion.

[edit] Campaign Slogans/Themes
[edit] Colegio de San Juan de Letran (CSJL)
- Movie OST and Indian Theme (2005) for their dance track.
- A Dessert Fit for a Knight (2005) Nestle cheer for their bid to get the title.
- Arriba Letran / CSJL Signature Floor Dance (2006) for their bid to take the title.
- Letran, Deal or No Deal? (2007) for their bid to get the title.
- Japan - Anime (2008)
[edit] Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT)
- Japanese/Samurai/Ninja theme (2004) for their championship title for the first-ever NCAA Cheerdance competition.
- Cheerping Cardinals: Level 2 (2005) for their bid to retain the Championship title. This is their (and the league's) most ambitious routine making it at par (at least) with the Cheerleading Worlds competition. A risky routine that makes a promise to break the standards of the Philippine cheerleading scene but have led them lose their crown. This edition exemplifies their strength by incorporating a superbly Kick Double Twist toss for the first time on National Television
- Egyptian Mapua (2006) for their bid to get the title back to Intramuros.
- M Pyramid (2007) still for the redemption of the Crown to Intramuros. This edition could have led them back on Mt. Everest again after impressing the judges and the crowd before them as they have unleashed their sumpremacy, yet again, as the FIRST Champions of the league. They were the FIRST and ONLY team in history to date and on National TV to exemplify a Cartwheel-mounting-to-Swedish-fall pyramid.
- The "All-Original" Scorpion Formation and the Ying Yang Act(2008) The squad welcomes 2008 with a big bang as they perform this year with a blast showcasing originality, skill, showmanship and creativity.
[edit] University of Perpetual Help System Dalta (UPHSD)
- Details with Impact (2006) The team’s strength has always been the seamless, simple stunts and synchronized formations. But this time, the Altas focused on using details with impact. The male dancers dyed their hair gold, while the girls wore sexy outfits with maroon, gold and white. Most of the dancers, including the guys, tumbled to music with fewer vocals.
- Flawless Routines (2007) Just like in the past two editions, the Altas Pep Squad were almost flawless in their routines, but the improvement of other squads threatened their title-retention bid.
- Full Twist (2008) Altas Perpsquad is the only team in the NCAA Cheerdance Competition who made a stunningly full twist in their early performance, making them to prove to all their creativity when it comes to cheerleading.
