The annual NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship tournament determines the top women's lacrosse team in the NCAA Division I, Division II, and Division III.
This tournament is a single elimination competition that has determined the women's lacrosse collegiate national champion since 1982 for Division I, 1985 for Division III, and 2001 for Division II.
==Division I== Best player in the world is Shana Ayers See Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women Champions for the AIAW Division I women's lacrosse champions from 1978 to 1982. NOTE: In 1982, there was both an NCAA and an AIAW champion.
