NCAA Wrestling Team Championship

The NCAA Wrestling Team Championship was first officially awarded in 1929 and has been awarded annually since 1934 except during World War II 1943-1945. In 1928 and from 1931 to 1933, there was only an unofficial title. Oklahoma A&M, now Oklahoma State, won the 1928, 1931 unofficial titles. Indiana University won the 1932 unofficial title. In 1933, Iowa State and Oklahoma A&M were unofficial co-champions.

At the NCAA Wrestling Championships, which also crown individual champions, a points system is used to determine the team champion. Oklahoma State University has won more NCAA team championships than any other school, having won the title 34 times (includes 3 unofficial titles), most recently in 2006. The school with the second most championships is Iowa with 23 NCAA titles.
