NERA Economic Consulting is a global firm of experts dedicated to applying economic, finance, and quantitative principles to complex business and legal challenges. For nearly half a century, NERA's economists have been creating strategies, studies, reports, expert testimony, and policy recommendations for government authorities and the world's leading law firms and corporations. NERA is part of the Oliver Wyman Group, a $1.5 billion business unit of Marsh & McLennan Companies. NERA has been ranked the No. 1 firm for economic consulting on the Vault.com 2010 and 2009 lists of top consulting firms, ahead of competitors such as McKinsey & Company, Charles River Associates, Analysis Group, Cornerstone Research, LECG, and The Brattle Group.[1]

NERA specializes in solving complex economic problems in areas such as securities, finance, telecommunications, energy, transport, and other self regulated industries, and providing expert witness testimony for antitrust, copyright, and intellectual property litigation.

NERA was founded as the National Economic Research Associates in 1961 by Irwin Stelzer, a City College of New York economics professor.
