Nil

Nil is a word commonly used to mean nothing or zero; it is one of several names for the number 0.

• nil probably does have it's origin in latin "nihil" meaning "nothing"
• NIL might stand for: "Not In List"
• "Nil" is used in some computer programming languages to indicate an invalid/uninitialized variable or the null pointer. See also Nullable type.
• In the Objective-C language nil is defined as the C NULL value, aka a pointer with the value null (0)
• NIL (programming language), an implementation of the Lisp programming language.
